- The year is almost over now, what could you say are some of the notable skills you have learnt this year?
- There is a lot! I can properly analyze academic texts now and my note taking skills have relatively improved!
- True, it has been quite interesting, and yes, I was taught academic writing, I can write an essay that contains information from peer reviewed sources to avoid inaccurate information, and also to acknowledge the writers and I proofread and edit all my work now
- Sounds like an interesting year for you, have you learnt any formal writing?
- Nice, does it mean that everyone that uses peer reviewed sources agrees on the same thing?
- No, we were taught to write an academic essay to acknowledge opposing evidence, while still maintaining a bias, this works well in debates too
- I would like to believe so too, I use my documentary and critical analysis skills to analyze my favorite written documentaries and it has helped me quite a lot in better understanding every aspect of the text
- It seems like you have good academic reading and writing skills
