- Boston tea party
- The british fought in the french and indian war. This put them in debt afterwards.
- intolerable acts
- As a solution, the british thought it would be a good idea to tax the colonists extra to help pay.
- the war
- The colonists were tired of these taxes! To do something about it, colonists disguised themselves as indians in the boat with crates of tea and threw all of it into the Boston harbor.
- the signing of the declaration of independence
- As punishment for the colonists' behavior, the king sets the intolerable acts. These acts were cruel and severe. These acts only made things worse though.
- America fights for independence. They have had enough! The British and Americans go to war. Of course, America wins and their independence is secured.
- The Declaration of independence was signed on July 4th 1776, wich is now a holiday known as The Fourth of July. This was a written document that announced the independence of the colonies from Britain.
