- Mr White and his son Herbert are playing Chess while Mrs White knits When Sergeant-Major Morris.He talked them about his time in the military then pulls out a monkeys paw he explained that a religious figure made it and that the purpose was not to mess with fate and says that it gives you three wishes and that the first guy killed himself because what the paw did and threw it into the fire.
- Climax
- After Sergeant Major Morris threw the monkeys paw into the fire because he says its evil Mr White grabbed it out and says that it could be useful but hes not sure what to wish for.
- Falling action
- Herbert convinces him Mr white makes a wish for 200$ but his sons ends up dying in an accident in a factory and the financial compensation is 200$.
- Resolution
- While asleep at the middle of the night Mrs White makes him wish for his son back to life despite Mr White not wanting too.
- After a few hours they hear knocking on the door and Mrs wife starts to open it.
- When mrs wife opens the door she sees nothing because Mr white wished there son to be dead again.
