- DESC: Kim hyun sook wants to leave home and go to a college that is famous for protests, the only thing holding her back is her mom because her mom wants her to stay and help with the restauraunt while her dad is encouraging her to go to college and study.
- The Restauraunt
- Mom! let me go to college, I want to go and study!
- NO! Your going to stay here and help with the restauraunt, college is only trouble!
- The School
- DESC: When Kim does go to college she notices that there really are tons of loud protesters protesting against the North Korean government because of their super harsh treatment of people. Kim doesent really understand what all the fuss is about.

- DESC:When kim goes to class she meets TONS of new friends that are very passionate about standing up for there rights.

- DESC:Her new friends invite Kim to go to a book club, but Kim later finds out that the books that they are reading are banned by the government and reading the books could have serious consequences if caught.
- DESC:One day, one of her friends got caught and gaurds start hurting him and punishing him! This leads to more protesting.
- DESC:At the end of the book the police even try to arrest her! But she learned the real meaning of protest and self worth and fought back!
