- Good afternoon class today we will be talking about establishing goals academically and mentally in order to have an efficient school year
- my mom is a teacher and she always talks about this thing called UDB and how there's 3 stages and this sounds super similar
- Okay class settle down I love how you guys know all about our lesson and yes miss eve we will be talking about UBD but i want to hear more about what you know so come up and get a paper and write what you think you know about the new unit
- Yes sopia that's basically what it means I also think it has something to do with a big idea which is the ending goal or the whole concept of our unit if you know what I mean
- Wait does establishing goals mean what we as students are going to know once the lesson is over?
- So far you all are exactly right but the real definition of udb is the understanding by design which is the way you learn something and how you can use it when you are planning or to help you create academic strategy and at the end it will help you find your big idea and it will help you with establishing efficient goals so now that i gave you a quick preview of the topic we are going to play a kahoot to see what you have learned from me and your class mates
