- what?. we need money we can't work out of goodwill. working without pay is unfair.
- we require you to work a 2 weeks overtime without getting paid the overtime rate. we request that you do this out of goodwill.

- the manager did not want to hear us. we want you Mr Alu to discuss with the managers because we cannot work without pay, we have families to feed.
- i will set up a meeting with the board and forward your complaint. I will get back to you with a fair decision for both sides.

- SHOP-STEWARD IN A MEETING WITH MANAGERS
- the employees are not happy with the decision so i request on behalf of them that the overtime be added on the bonus payments at the end of the year
- The manager wants employees to work a 2 week 3 hour overtime without getting the paid the overtime rate as the company is going through a financial loss.

- The management and I concluded that the overtime payments be added on bonuses at the end of the year. Is that fair to you all?
- the employees are asking the shop-steward to stand in for them and lay a complaint for them as they think this is unfair. they want compensation even if its not immediately after they work the overtime as they understand the financial loss the company is going through.

- the shop steward is in favour of the employees and request that atleast the overtime payment be added on their bonuses at the end of the year if the company cannot pay them now. the managers are in favour of the decision and agree that they will add the overtime on the bonus payments at the end of year.
- we cannot pay the overtime now but we need their hands so that we recover, however we can add the overtime payments on bonuses as requested.
