- Hello! Today I will teach you about the Chinese dynasties! There are many things in the Chinese dynasty, so let's get started! First, let's talk about their religion!
- The Religion that the people of the Chinese dynasty practiced Confucianism. Confucianism wasn't based off of any gods, but was kind of like philosophies. This was made by Confucius, whose birthday is on September 28th, which is known as a religious holiday for the people.
- Now, let's talk about their government!
- Tang Dynasty:
- The Chinese Dynasty has many Dynasties, but for this one, let's focus on the Tang and Song Dynasty! Although the Tang dynasty was more strict for who could run as a candidate, both Dynasties used long tests to see if they should be a member of the government. One thing that was different for the Tang Dynasty from the Song was how strict they were for who could run. Based off of money, only wealthy could run because of how much the civil service tests costed. The Song Dynasty is different from the Tang dynasty because of how they opened up the civil services to more candidates that weren't very wealthy, making people that were less wealthy government members!
- Song Dynasty:
- Finally, we shall talk about their technology, which impacts us today!
- The Chinese Dynasties made some pretty amazing things! First let's talk about the compass! The compass is used to figure out your cardinal directions. They made this using a lodestone! Next, let's talk about Paper money. Paper money was made from wooden blocks, and although there was currency then, they were the first to make it from paper. Lastly, let's talk about gunpowder. It was made from saltpeter, and the first weapon they made that used gunpowder, was a flamethrower! Now let's- wait! The class is over!
