- Frederick collapses on the ground, and Covey starts kicking at him to get up and continue working.

- After being chased by Covey, Douglass runs into the forest being met by Sandy Jenkins who tells him of a root that might help Douglass.
- Covey tackles Douglass, but Douglass fights back.
- Eugh!
- Douglass walked away proudly while Covey complained for help on the floor. They had been fighting for hours and Douglass had successfully won.
