- Exposition Brian is introduced to the audience. He is said to be a kid who lives in the city with divorced parents at the age of thirteen.This story takes place in the Canadian forest where Brian learns to survive alone with many challenges.
- Ahhhh, what a beautiful day!

- The Conflict Brian's flight took a wrong turn. The pilot had a heart attack and Brian is left to fly the plane until it crashes. But during the heart attack Brian noticed that the plane took a slight jerk to the side. Now he has to safely land the plane and try to find the path he was on first.
- Sleep well captain
- Rising Action Brian realizes he can't live off of berries forever. So he decides to makes a spear to catch fish. But at first he couldn't quite get it but soon he found a strategy. A while later Brian go sick of fish so he made a bow and arrow to catch "fool birds" to eat some meat. Once Brian feels like he has options a tragedy happens. As he comes to the surface he realizes what has happened and that the only thing he has with him. Now, Brian has to face what nature is about to give him.
- Climax Brian went out to the lake and he heard trampling foot steps and right as he turned around a moose drove him into the wateran trampled his ribs. And that night Brian heard the wind blowing and growling as a tornado was coming closer and closer as it took everything Brian had needed and made but gave him one thing in return.
- Falling Action During the tornado the plane was shifted upward more toward the surface. Brian suddenly remembers that in the back seat of the plane was a duffle bag with a survival kit in it. To get to the bag Brian built a raft and pounded his hatchet to the aluminum on the plane. Once he made a whole he realized he had dropped his hatchet in the water. He retrieved it and went inside the plane. He struggles to get the bag but at last can get the bag out and loose. While he is down there he sees a disturbing sight of which almost makes him gag.
- Resolution In the survival kit was plenty of freeze dried food along with utensils, pots, pans, a lighter, a gun, and an emergence transmitter. Brian looks at it and doesn't know what to do. He found a button and flickers it on and off, accidentally leaving it on. Later a pilot comes over the trees and lands on the "L' lake. Saying he is here to save Brian and take him home.
