You see Imogine, our evaluation was extensive, and we concluded that this vendor's offering struck an acceptable balance between cost effectiveness and low environmental impact.
Harry and Imogine have two conflicting views concerning what type of aircraft will best suit the needs of GDD in the future. Imogine is socially and environmentally conscious; she realizes that GDD can have a positive impact on the environment by carefully considering the company's next aircraft purchase. Harry likes Imogine, and realizes she has both the company's and the environment's best interest in mind.

I have no idea. If only there were a department within GDD that established processes for capturing knowledge so it could be re-accessed and re-used.
A holistic approach is required to create a robust KM department and processes. A fully developed KM department will develop data capture protocols to ensure information from product evaluating and reviews are cataloged and accessible for re-use. Although information and information technology (IT) are not, in and of themselves, KM solutions, IT solutions do play a role in a fully developed KM program.
KM Is the Solution
These are my observations and suggestions based on years of customer interactions.
Thanks Amid; this information is extremely valuable!
As a result of having access to a fully developed KM department, with well-established protocols for data capture and cataloging, Harry and Imogine are able to quickly access previous aircraft evaluations and experiential notes; this allows Harry to establish context for Imogine, which in turn reveals the, ...how/what/why it was done, what improvement could be made (Knowledge Management Tools, 2010, para 7).
KM Ensures Knowledge Retention

I know! I'm sad to see him go; however, I'm so glad the KM department provide techniques and forums to capture his knowledge. We're poised to continue the great work Amid has started
When a valuable employee, with a wealth of knowledge in their specific discipline, leaves an organization, it can be a devastating loss. If there has been no formal process to allow that employee the opportunity to share their knowledge, there is no guarantee that they will have done so. Leaving this transfer of tacit knowledge to chance, is a costly mistake.
What are we going to do now that Amid is gone? He was such a wealth of information.
A KM department solves the dilemma an organization finds itself in when a knowledgeable employee leaves. A sound KM program will develop processes whereby knowledgeable employees are passing along their knowledge and codifying best practices in established forums and repositories for future use. A KM department is essential; the more knowledgeable the employee, the more vulnerable the organization if that employee leaves (Dalkir, 2011).

I will get this down to the KM department for cataloging.
Developing a KM department for GDD will ensure that whether an employee remains with our organization, or move on to other opportunities, their knowledge will be cataloged and available for re-use by the entire enterprise. An additional step to ensure voluntary teaching and mentorship would be to create incentive for employees to share their knowledge. "The value of rewards does not have to be great in order to motivate people" (Garfield, 2018, para 23)
Boy, Amid is such a great guy; I certainly hate to see him go.
