"Oh my goodness!! She is beautiful and she is blue!!!" Sa 'Mariya spotted a horse in the distance.
Yes, that's Blu Ivory, you will meet her later.
It's okay, as long as we are honest, that's what matters to granddad.

A Day at the Farm
Early Saturday Morning, Mariya was up early and excited for her big day! Today was the day her mother promised to take her to visit her best friend's grandfather's farm. She was also excited because today's word of the day was blue, and that meant blueberry pancakes for breakfast!
A Day at the Farm
I know you must be the best horse here, Sa 'Mariya whispered to Blu Ivory. She felt so connected to Blu.
I knew you girls could do it!
Sa 'Mariya, breakfast is ready!! Her mother yelled from the kitchen. Sa 'Mariya walked into the kitchen excited from the smell of blueberry pancakes. Good morning, Mother, I'm so excited about today because my favorite color is blue, I get blueberry pancakes, and I get to visit my best friend's Amy family's farm. I'm glad you are excited about today, as I have taken it upon myself to hide blue items in plain sight for you find.
A Day at the Farm
YAY!! WE DID IT!!
Sa 'Mariya and her mother headed off to the farm to finally visit Amy and her grandparents' farm! One the way they looked for a person, place, or thing that matched the color of the day blue. Oh mother! Sa 'Mariya shouted, there are so many things that match the color of the day!
A Day at the Farm
We have one more surprise for you Sa 'Mariya, as we have noticed how much you love blue! It's outside.
Sa 'Mariya and her mother arrive at the farm, as Amy and her grandparents wait ahead to greet them! Yay! They're here, shouts Amy! Remember to be on your best behavior Amy, her grandmother said. We want to show our guest a good time while they are here. Yes, grandmother, Amy replied.
A Day at the Farm
SURPRISE!!
Now that you have made it safely Sa 'Mariya, your mother will help my wife, Mrs. Cattle in the kitchen and you girls will help me out in the yard. I will show you girls the ropes of running a farm, are you two up for the challenge? Yes! The girls shouted. Wow I love your blue chair, blue is my favorite color, said Sa 'Mariya. Grandpa calls it his ole blues re-cli-n-err, Amy tried to pronounce. HA! Grandpa laughed with Sa 'Mariya. After helping the girls pronounce words correctly, they headed out to the barn.
A Day at the Farm
Of course, we can dear, now let's get inside and get you ready for bed.
Your Mag-Nif-I-Cent, MAGNIFICANT MOTHER!
Mr. Cattle lead the girls to the barn while explaining to them what the day would consist of. First, we are going to feed the chickens and pick some eggs. Then we will feed the horse, milk the cow, and pick fruits from grannie's special pies, said Mr. Cattle. Oh my! I'm so excited, shouted Sa 'Mariya.
A Day at the Farm
THE END
Mr. Cattle explained to the girls that the chicken's house was small so he would let them go in and pick the eggs while the chickens were out being fed. Grab a basket and pick twelve eggs, we sale them buy the dozen. As the girls picked eggs Sa 'Mariya notice three blue eggs, she was so excited and hoped she could later ask to take one home for herself. Sa 'Mariya picked up the blue egg and it slipped out her hands.
Oh No!! Mr. Cattle will be so upset with me, what will I do?!
After feeding and picking eggs Mr. Cattle showed the girls how to set out apples for the horses. Ok girls let's brush the horses while they eat, said grandpa. While brushing the horses Sa 'Mariya noticed each horse was tagged. Why do the horses have a number or letter on them? asked Sa 'Mariya. The number or the letter helps us identify each horse and what they are used for around the farm. Sa 'Mariya was excited to see the horse she liked had the number one on him.
Girl's, you have done a good job today, overcoming obstacles together through communication. You have picked the eggs, feed the horses, chickens, and cows. You picked the fruit, so let's head back to the big house, said grandpa. Yay! Amy yelled it's time to eat, grandma makes the best pies. Pie sounds great right now, said Sa 'Mariya.
The girls and Mr. Cattle arrived back at the house, running inside the girls told them all about their day. Sa 'Mariya told her mother how she learned so much by following instructions, being open, honest, and even learning to pronounce words correctly. After mingling and eating, Sa 'Mariya and her mother packed up some items to take home. We really enjoyed ourselves, said Sa 'Mariya's mother. We enjoyed you all as well, please do come again, said Mrs. Cattle.
Oh My! What could it be?
Amy walked out with a blue egg and Sa 'Mariya bust out into tears! She couldn't believe it; she was the happiest little girl on the planet. She had learned so much that day but most important she learned how to love, care, and listen. She learned that following day to day rules helps build trust and communication. Sa 'Mariya took in one last look around, and listened to the sounds of all the happy animals because of what they did that day.
OMG! Thank you all so very much! I had such a wonderful time!
Sa 'Mariya and her mother arrived back home! Tired from the day she had Sa 'Mariya looked up and realized that every day she could see her favorite color. Her house is also blue, and it would remind her of the day she had today, every day. She told her mother that the best day about her day was learning new words and things around her. Could we get new rocking chairs for our porch, so we can listen to the sounds of our nature? Sa 'Mariya asked her mother.
Remember to always listen to hear, hear to listen, and communicate!
