- Starr must go into the police station and explain what happened. The officers seem to be incriminating Khalil and not the officer
- Starr goes to a party in Garden Heights and witness' someone being shot, her friend Khalil helps to get her out
- On the ride home from the party an officer pulls Khalil and Starr over. During the stop the officer shot and killed Khalil
- Hailey, and many other students, decide to protest Khalil's death, but only as an excuse to skip class.
- Starr goes on TV to do an interview and dry-snitches that King is selling drugs and is the reason Khalil is dead
- Hailey starts to blame Khalil for getting shot and Starr gets mad enough to hit her
- Starr and Chris go to prom together and Starr finally opens up to Chris about everything that has happened
- Seven, Starr, Chris, and Kenya find DeVante beaten badly in Kings house and rush him out with Iesha's help
- Everyone points out that King threw the Molotov and his other crimes, and soon he is arrested
- While driving through the neighborhood, Starr reaches a riot and joins in and tell the Riot officers the truth about Khalil
- They all go into Maverick's store in order to stay safe, but someone throws a Molotov into the store
- Starr becomes widely known as a civil rights activist and shares her story on many news networks
