Storyboard Text

  • Reil was born on october 22nd 1844
  • In the city of Red river colony
  • Louis Riel Was a proud leader of the Metis. and was against the Canadians taking over their land
  • Louis Riel would not give up the land to the Canadians
  • As he thought the land was his.
  • This brings us to our first conclusion why he was a traitor because the Canadians weren't trying to take away their land but simply trying to make a route for transportation of food and people. stopping them from doing that shows hes a traitor
  • Riel was blamed for helping the Metis sooo...
  • Riel fled from Canada because he was a wanted man. He fled to the united states for many years of his life
  • This brings us to our 2nd conclusion as to why Louis Riel is a traitor. Well right after he fought the Canadians he ran for his life. Cause if he was a hero he would have died for the metis to make them more memorable.
  • But Riel soon went back to be the voice and heart of the Metis
  • As Riel came back as the voice for the Metis Canada thought this was Treason.
  • And was put on death row.
  • this brings us to our 3rd conclusion as to why he was a traitor. The only reason Riel came back was to vindicate himself by fighting for Metis Thinking he would get a free pass.
  • The Jury has decided to hang you for committing treason and for trying to vindicate yourself
  • We also think hes a traitor because even though he did all those things for the metis even still they were barley recognized
  • this is our 4th conclusion because We think Louis Riel was a traitor because not only did he commit treason he was not trying to be a voice for the Metis he was only trying to vindicate himeself
  • This is why Me (Trae) and Andreas thought Louis Riel was a traitor.
