- Chapters 13-16 Summary
- After April and Melanie where forced to invite Toby and Ken into the Egypt game, April got a letter from her mother saying that she was marrying Nick. They were so happy, and hopefully soon there would be room for April to join their new family.
- On the first day that the boys joined the Egypt game they didn't destroy anything or embarrass anyone like the Egypt girls had expected. They walked around and asked many questions until they understood the game.
- The next few days, Toby and Ken showed up overflowing with ideas. They finished their hieroglyphics, made their own hieroglyphic names, and expanded on Set's alter.
- Then, one faithful day, Elizabeth's pet parakeet: Petey got killed by a cat. This gave April and Melanie the idea to hold a Ceremony for the Dead. Everyone had great ideas, especially Toby. They even turned Petey into a mummy afterwards!
- Finally, one day at school, the Egypt gang heard about oracles. They went to the library to read more about them, and had amazing ideas for how to continue the Egypt game, which they shared later in the afternoon. They chose Toby's idea and continued with the game.
- Ken did the ritual and became anxious when Toby worried him with the possibility of the gods being able to answer Ken's question. They got into an argument about the existence of the gods. Everyone quickly left suspicious and worried.
