- Setting: Athens Lunatic AsylumJane just woke up and she is doesn't feel good because she received shock treatmentBut, she still has to go to the common room for sharing time with Dr. Lanski.
- Climax
- Jane goes to the common room for share time. Everyone shares their own story and Dr. Lanski asks her if she remembers the day before. When she doesn't, he reviews what happened.
- Falling action
- Dr. Lanski tells the story of what Jane did yesterday. This is the part after she jumped out the window. She was running towards Scout's house.
- Resolution
- Dr. Lanski is still telling the story of what Jane did that yesterday. Jane arrives at Scout's house and kills him slowly and painfully. She is very proud of what she did. She leaves stealthily.
- Jane goes to trial and is found accused of first-degree murder. She confesses and receives her punishment for the crime. Her punishment was the death sentence.
- The story ends with Jane being in the electric chair for being killed for her crimes against Scout. She had been shocked all her life in the asylum. Now she will die from electric shock.
