- I didn't know you knew French! That was good.
- Oh, please, don't say anything Mr. Bueller!!!
- Victor is a boy who is starting seventh grade. He has a crush on Teresa, a girl he knows from catechism, and he is hoping that they are in French class together. While walking to his homeroom, Victor sees his friend, Michael Torres, and they chat about their summer.
- Falling Action
- Is it possible for you to help me with my French?
- Sure, anytime.
- Victor and Teresa end up in the same French class. Mr. Bueller, their French teacher, asks who knows how to speak French and Victor raises his hand because he is trying to impress Teresa by pretending that he knows how to speak the language.
- Resolution
- I can't believe she asked me for help!... This is a great start to the new school year!
- After Victor leaves French class, he realizes that he forgot his math book in the classroom, so he goes back to get it. Teresa is still there and she tells Victor that she didn't know he could speak French. Mr. Bueller hears their conversation and Victor pleads with his eyes towards him, so that Mr. Bueller doesn't mention that Victor doesn't actually know how to speak French.
- Thankfully, Mr. Bueller doesn't say anything to them. While leaving the class, Teresa asks Victor to help her with French and he agrees.
- Victor runs to the library to check out three French books to learn as much as he can of the language, so that he can then help Teresa. This is when Victor realizes that he is going to like seventh grade.
