- Act1 Scene1: Scottish Moor. Three creepy witches meet briefly in a Scottish storm and with eerie chanting, plan to meet again after the battle on the heath with Macbeth. The scene builds atmosphere as to what happens next...

- Act1, Scene2: A camp near Forres. A captain tells King Duncan of Macbeth's (and Banquo's) heroics on the battlefield. This high praise establishes Macbeth to be a worthy character. King Duncan orders the traitorous Thane of Cawdor to be executed and Macbeth to be given his title.
- Go pronounce his present death. And with his former title greet Macbeth.
- Till that Bellona's bridegroom, lapped in proof, confronted him with self-comparisons, point against point, rebellious arm 'gainst arm, curbing his lavish spirit; and, to conclude, the victory fell on us.

- Act1, Scene3: On the heath. Macbeth Banquo find the witches on the heath who give their future prophecies of Thane of Cawdor King. Thane of Ross arrives to tell Macbeth he is Thane of Cawdor. With the 1st prophecy fulfilled Macbeth's mind embarks of a dark path on how he might succeed King Duncan...
