- Act2, Scene1: Macbeth's castle. Banquo bumps into Macbeth and gives him a diamond from Duncan. Banquo says he has been dreaming of the '3 weird sisters', Macbeth lies and says he hasn't. On the way to murder Duncan, Macbeth sees a vision of a dagger. A bell sound summoning him to heaven or hell.
- This diamond he greets your wife withal........I dreamt last night of the three weird sisters
- I think not of them
- Is this a dagger which I see before me. the handle towards my hand?
- Act2 Scene2. Macbeth's castle. Lady Macbeth Macbeth meet on his return from killing Duncan. Macbeth is scared that he heard noises and he still has the dagger in his hand. Lady Macbeth goes to plant it on Duncan's guards as Macbeth is too scared returning with bloody hands scorns his cowardice. Knocking....
- I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
- I had the most need of blessing Amen stuck in my throat.
- Sleep no more! Macbeth does murder sleep.
- My hands are of your colour but I shame to wear a heart so white.
- I heard the owl scream the cricket cry.
- A little water clears us of this deed.

- Act2, Scene3: Macbeth's castle. The Porter opens the door to Macduff Lennox who have come to meet Duncan. Macduff goes to wake Duncan returns horrified by his murder. The household gathers Macbeth announces the guards are the main suspects. Lady Macbeth faints. Duncan's sons flee to Ireland.
- The night has been unruly...strange screams of death...prophesying with accents terrible... some say the earth was feverous and did shake.
- Oh horror, horror, horror! tongue nor heart cannot conceive or name thee!
- Twas a rough night.
