- Free association is when Freud believed that when a person is relaxed and says whatever comes to their mind, whatever they said showed something about their personality.
- How Costa and McCrae See Me
- Adler believed that the birth order of siblings impacted their personalities. He believed that people's behavior was due to trying overcome childhood inferiority complex.
- How Jung Sees Me

- Rogers believed that people are basically good unless something from their environment impacts them.

- Costa and McCrea believed in the big 5 personality factors of openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. They believed that for each of these traits people would either have a low score or a high score, and based on the score of all of the traits, that would make up someone's personality.
