IT'S THE STORY OF JONAH DANGIT
Storyboard Text
- Jonah was living in the town of Gath-heper when one day, he was chosen by God to go out and preach to the people of Nineveh.
- Greetings, Jonah. I have a special plan for you. Today, you will go out and save the people of Nineveh
- Jonah, the people in Nineveh need you to lead them. You have to trust in me.
- Nineveh? I can't go there! It's too dangerous! I'll be killed! I'm staying here!
- At night, Jonah hatched up a plan to fool God. He would appear to listen by ordering a ship, but the ship would sail as far away from Nineveh as possible, to the city of Tarshish
- The next day, Jonah went into the square to find a sailor and ship.
- So, how much will it cost to get me to Tarshish?
- Well, what have you got?
- They set sail later that day
- And soon, a great storm came upon the sea.
- Where's Jonah? Maybe his God can save us!
- Pray to your God! He's our last chance!
- I guess I have no choice...
- The ship is sinking! We'll all die!
- Jonah, you have returned to me. Order the men to throw you off the boat. From there I will take you to Nineveh.
- I must do what my God tells me.
- Jonah, isn't there some other way?
- God sent a giant fish to eat Jonah. Inside the fish, Jonah returned to God and promised to go to Nineveh.
- And he did. The fish spat him out on the coast near Nineveh.
- Now, Nineveh was known throughout the lands for its reputation of dangerous and sinful people, and the Israelites hated the city. The king was also very corrupt. - Jonah believed the city should not be saved, and that it would be destroyed.
- But Jonah had to keep his promise to God, and spoke his message to Nineveh.
- Repent, or my God will destroy this city and all of its sin!
- And to their king, who would convert the whole city.
- Why are you so sinful? Repent or be destroyed!
- Then Jonah fell asleep, believing that Nineveh was destroyed as he slept.
- But the city was still there. The king had chosen to follow God, and so did all of Nineveh.
- Everyone deserves a second chance, Jonah.
- What would Jonah say about modern society?
- Well, umm, uh..
- AND I THOUGHT NINEVEH WAS BAD LOOK AT THIS PLACE WHY HAVEN'T YOU REPENTED YOU SINNERS! GOD WILL DESTROY YOU ALL! YOUTUBE? INSTAGRAM? HOW DO YOU SURVIVE? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED GOODNESS GRACIOUS HOW DO YOU LIVE?
