- Dahl went to the dinning room and he found and old lady that was weird. This weird lady's name was Trufsis she was eating the oranges with a knife and fork and he was confused. Dahl asked her why are you using the fork and knife and she told him that there is germs in her hands that you can't see but they are clean to you and they should be sterilized. She told Dahl that he should try this way. Dahl thought this old lady was intelligent and interesting (paragraph 83).
- Green mamba
- Dahl went to Dar es Salaam and was looking outside the window and he found Salimu in the garden and behind him there was a green mamba. This mamba was 6 feet long and thick as a hand (paragraph 4). When Salimu notice the black mamba he killed it after a while and thanked Dahl (paragraph 9,10).
- The beginning of the war
- You should follow the rules and arrest all the Germans and return them back to the camp

- Dahl went to a district officer house, Robert Sanford and his wife. When he was in the varanda Mdisho was yelling saying that there was lion that took the cook's wife and was going to eat her (paragraph 32). Robert was trying to shoot it but the cook was blocking his way and then Robert shoot in the air and the lion as scared and ran away. The cook's wife was safe and the lion did not eat her(paragraph 43).

- Dahl went to the house of an English man and his wife. He found a green mamba that killed their dog. Mr. Fuller went to the snake man so he can come and catch this green mamba. He was not afraid from it as he understand them and never kill them but he was selling them to the zoo (paragraph 15). At the end they caught this mamba(paragraph 66).
- Come on little snake, no one is going to hurt you.
- Dahl was not prepared for the war. His captain ordered him to arrest all the German people and return them to the camp. if he should use the gun he should shoot them but he can not. There were children that he can not shoot them (paragraph 39). At the end there is some people that was going to kill Dahl and his soldiers and Dahl decided to kill them and he was unhappy (paragraph 107).
- Who, me?
- When Dahl went back to the house he was dirty and tired so he took a shower and drink a whisky and remember his sword and did not find. He remembered that he gave it to Mdisho but he did not find Mdisho as he was worried as he thought that someone had stolen his sword (paragraph 18). Dahl slept and when he woke up he found Mdisho very happy. Mdisho told Dahl that when he heard that the war had begin he want to do something so he went to the rich German man and killed him proudly as he did not care about anything else( paragraph 40).
