- Lena and Impie are locked in the root cellar! The Baron Chideheart has upset the barrels, so they cannot get out! There is hope though, for Impie knows there is a secret levar they can pull to get into the dining room. They pull on every stone, until thees a whoosh sound!

- The girls run until they see guards. They duck into the nearest room, only to see STEFAN. Now a nobleman, he explains that when they Heard Duke Ramond of Culudena, they were hearing of him. HE tells them his plan to dress the girls as his dates, the Duchesses of Noshire, then to sneak off to his own private province.

- Stefan disguises the girls and puts them on the backs of llamas to ride through his province. Grander Grapers is there to cheer on Stefan; she was the first person Stefan helped when he was made a nobleman for defeating a lion. (Another story)
- Stefan felt Lena would never forgive him; he was her brother, and should've stayed with her. At lena's remark on his maid, he looked out the window.
