- Michael and his family had a normal life, until Michael's parents were made redundant. So his father scraped up their savings and bought a boat to sail around the world.
- PEGGY SUE
- It was going great until Stella and Michael were thrown overboard. He thought he was going to drown in the water, but luckily he held onto his football. After some time he passed out on the sea.
- The next morning, he woke up on the beach of a deserted island. It only had monkeys, gibbons and orangutans. He thought he was stuck with Stella and no food or water.
- He began searching for food and water and made a fire. When he went out to gather firewood one day, a strange old man had extinguished his fire and was screaming in Japanese.
- Dameda!
- The two of them didn't really get along, until after a traumatising event, which almost killed Michael. Kensuke had saved him and they grew close and became good friends.
- After multiple months, possibly years had passed, Michael's parents found the island and rescued him. But he had to say goodbye to Kensuke and promise him not to tell anyone about him and his island until ten years had passed.
