- Della is Sobbing on her couch because she doesn't have any money to buy a Christmas gift for her husband. She only has 1.87 cents, which is not enough money to buy his or anyone a present.

- Oh Honey Please still think I am pretty, I sold my hair so that I could buy you a Christmas Present.
- Della really wanted to give her husband a Christmas gift, so she decided to get her hair cut. This was really uncommon especially in the place where she lived, she was afraid that her husband would be mad at her because she would look different.

- It doesn't matter where I got the money, Lets enjoy out company together.
- Della goes to the store and she was looking around and she found the perfect gift for her husband. She saw a leather strapped watch that she thought she would love.
- Resolution
- Oh ,where did you get this money?
- Della's husband is coming home, this would be the first time that he would see her without long hair. And she will also tell him about her gift too.

- Della told Her husband that she sold her hair to buy him a Christmas gift and she hopes that he still thinks that she is still pretty. Then she realized that he has a gift for her, he got her some fancy combs for her hair and she was very grateful because they were expensive combs.
- I got you a gift too... open it.
- Della was wondering where he got the money for them but he didn't want to tell her, it turns out that he sold his watch to buy the combs for her. He just wanted them to relax and to enjoy their company to grther on Christmas Eve.
