- It is when the bacteria in the soil turns ammonia into nitrates .That is what the plants absorbs. Bacteria plays an important role in this cycle because it helps nitrogen change in between each stages.

- This is when the plants really get the nitrogen because as plants absorb the nitrates, it gets used in amino acids and nucleic acids.

- Now here Ammonification can take place
- Decomposers like fung or bacteria turn the nitrogen back into ammonia so it can be in the nitrogen cycle again.
