- The spotlight effect is the overestimating of how well other notice different aspects about you. This scene relates to something that happened to me a few months when I got a hole in my pants. I had to wear them for the rest of the day and thought that everyone was looking at me and had noticed.
- How Horney Sees me
- Can I ask you for some advice?
- Freud believed in the id, ego,and superego. The superego is the little angel on your shoulder or moral principle. The Id is like the devil on your shoulder. Your urges, desires, and needs. The ego is the balance in the middle.
- How Costa and McCrae see me
- Module 64 due Wednesday
- Rodger's theory was the idea that we had our ideal self vs. our real self. This demonstrates me thinking about how my real self can become my ideal self.
- How Adler sees me
- Mom get off your phone and pay attention to me!!!
- Horney believed in moving toward people and reaching out when you need help or compliance. Whenever I am struggling I typically try to reach out for help or advice.
- Costa and McCrae emphasized "The Big 5" personality factors. One of these factors is conscientiousness which deals with how prepared one is. Since I like to have schedules and try to keep organized my conscientiousness would be pretty high.
- Since the module is due on Wednesday I will start the first half of it tonight
- Adler believed in the birth order and how the order of in which your were born affects your personality. Since I am an only child Adler believes that I would be considered the center of attention and striving for attention from adults.
