  • Washington gave his soldiers an inspiring quote to lift their spirits. They had to march 9 miles with cannons and all sorts of materials in order to reach their camp.
  • 6 months into battle many men went home and other were left with sickness. Hessian soldiers were camped 9 miles off the other side of the river... they attacked on Christmas

  • Yeah! and they also had to march through snow, ice, rain, sleet, hail, and other really bad weather in order to get there. Many soldiers had bloody feet!
  • ericoy word that means two bodies of water meet. 1755. Arnold was a traitor to the Americans. They didn't have many supplies so sought out to get more but capturing the fort would help.
  • Allan and Arnold conjoined and attacked. The Americans won and found 90 gallons of rum and celebrated. they trashed the place but at least they got a ton of new supplies and ammunition

  • Less than 50 men guarded the fort. Arnold went to find more soldiers but had no luck because other people were taking them in order to capture the fort.
