That day Beowulf and 16 of his men traveled across the sea. To go to where the Danes live.
Beowulf and Grendel charge for battle! They start fighting and tussling, and Beowulf attempts to stab Grendel with a sword but isn't successful.
Then Beowulf RIPS Grendel's arm off at his shoulder with his bare hands. After that, Grendel gasps for air, and finally takes his last breath.
Beowulf goes on the hunt to find the cave where Grendel's mother waits for him. Beowulf tries to stab her with his sword, but it doesn't injure her. Beowulf then finds a more powerful sword than before. It was from the olden days made by giants.
He then kills her by chopping her head off at the neck with the giant's sword.
Beowulf fights the Dragon that has been terrorizing Geatland. He shouted to alert the dragon of his presence. The dragon came blowing his hot, fiery breath, burning Beowulf.
For the first time Beowulf knew that he wasn't going to win this fight. Together, Beowulf and Wiglaf defeat the dragon together. Beowulf gave in to the wound from the dragon's teeth. Sadly, Beowulf dies with Wiglaf by his side.
