- In this story Harrison Burgeron, Kurt Vonnegut, wrote about the future, and he should us that there was people that had to walk around with a handicap ear piece, just to make them equal with everyone. This wasn't really helping the handicap, instead it waas hurting them.He established this by showing the confusion that was shown on all the handicaps faces. Every time a siren went off in their ears, it brought them discomfort. This shows us, that yes everyone wants to be equal, but it will; hurt the people in the by making the handicap in the story suffer. Yes we are equal, but we don't have to put markers on people who are different just so that the can be normal. The Author uses this to ridicule the people who want to be perfect. The Lord, individually made us different, and people in the world who thinks they know everything, doesn't like that. they don't like the people of different color, or diseases or handicap. We are all equal no matter how different we are. God, made us perfect in his own eyes.
