- CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP
- The peacock ran away, and now Jerry was all alone in the jungle, stuck in a tree. The bird looked around and saw a big,strong eagle. “Maybe the eagle can help me!” he thought to himself. Jerry decided to chirp as loud as he could.
- The eagle saw the little bird was in trouble, and said to Jerry, “I would be happy to help! Maybe my friends can help too!” The eagle flew off to find his friends. But he never came back to help poor little Jerry.
- “Why won’t anybody help me?” the bird asked himself. All of a sudden, a giraffe began to walk toward the tree. She was very tall and had a neck that reached up to the sky. Jerry was scared of the giraffe.
- She was much bigger than him, so what if she was a mean giraffe? The giraffe came right in front of Jerry’s tiny beak. Then, a strange thing happened. The giraffe didn’t hurt the bird, she helped him out of the tree!
- After helping Jerry out of the tree, the good giraffe placed him on her head so he could look for his family in the jungle. Jerry couldn’t fly because the branches had hurt his wing.
- So, Jerry and the giraffe made their way through the jungle, in search for his flock. Jerry could see the whole jungle from the top of the giraffe! Jerry chirped, “I found my family! They’re at the pond!”
