- Please don't kill that sweet little pig.
- Bye, Wilbur! I'll come see you afterschool.
- Fern was a girl who lived on a farm. One morning she heard her dad was on his way to kill the runt pig. So she chased after him to stop her dad.
- Well, you do know why they're fattening you up, don't you?
- Don't worry Wilbur, I will help you.
- They want to do whaaaat?
- Fern convinced her dad to not kill the pig by promising to watch over the pig. She named the pig Wilbur, and she took care of him all summer.
- Wow! It's a miracle!!!
- Good thing they gave me food, otherwise I would not have helped.
- When fall came, it was time for fern to go to school so Wilbur went to live on her uncle's farm. They missed each other very much. Wilbur made many friends at Mr. Zuckerman's farm.
- While on Zuckerman's farm, the goose let it slip to Wilbur that the farmer was only keeping him so they could make him into Christmas ham. Wilbur began to cry. But he heard the calm and kind voice of Charlotte, the spider, who vowed to help her friend.
- With the help of a rather selfish rat named Templeton, Charlotte wrote wonderful words about Wilbur. They convinced Templeton to help by bribing him with Wilbur's scraps. The townspeople thought the web was a miracle.
- The miracle of the web won Wilbur special recognition at the county fair. Wilbur's life was spared, thanks to the help of his friend named Charlotte and her web.
