- Charlie starts to enjoy school, now that he can be with Patrick, Sam and Mary Elizabeth.
- Brad, a popular football player at school, is in love with Patrick, but doesn't want anyone to know, so they meet secretly.
- November 8, 1991
- Charlie is happy, because he gets good grades on his essays. He also starts working with Mary Elizabeth for a magazine called Punk Rocky.
- Charlie is in love with Sam, but Sam is already going out with a guy named Craig. Charlie is hurt and jealous.
- November 12 and 15, 1991
- Charlie thinks about when his father was a young, great, baseball player, and hopes that he also will have good memories to tell his own kids one day.
- Charlie's brother tells funny stories about the other teammates on his football team.
- November 18, 1991
- Charlie's mother takes Charlie shopping. She also agrees to have Sam and Patrick over for dinner during Thanksgiving.
- November 23, 1991
- The holidays, like Thanksgiving, are a difficult time for Charlie’s family, because it reminds them all of Aunt Helen
- Charlie and Patrick are each other's secret Santa, and they both give nice gifts, but Charlie also gives nice gifts to his other friends.
- December 7-11-19-21, 1991
- Sam tells Charlie that she loves him, and kisses him, because she wants his first kiss to be a loving kiss.
