After waiting 4 hours, Jason is finally able to vote. While he was signing in, a man who he and Cole had waited with is denied the ability to vote because of a felony charge for marijuana he got 10 years ago. Jason and Cole are shocked and decide to do something about this injustice.
Jason and Cole, along with the help of their families, get an article written in a local newspaper that because very popular in the city and surrounding area.
After the popularity of their article, Jason and Cole join fairfight, an organization that works to fight voter suppression in Georgia and the rest of the US. They win an important court case, but are aware there is a long way to go.
