- Hey Guys! I am Antrita Manduva, this is my video on Air Pollution. Air Pollution is, as we are all aware I'm sure, a major issue. It can harm your health, it can damage the environment; hurt the wildlife, the fish, and the ecosystem. Air Pollution is a problem that can be prevented if we all take proper action immediately. I believe that we should take care of air as it is an important part of our life. Without it, we can't survive for more than a minute.
- My goal today is to get you guys, the audience, to CARE about AIR by the end of this video. To understand better about how everyone sees air pollution, I interviewed by mom. I asked her some questions and got back answers. Here is the interview --->
- Hey mom, thanks for agreeing to do this. So, first I am going to start with a simple question- What do you know about Air Pollution?
- Air Pollution is one of the biggest problems in the world. I think it needs to be controlled. I know that the transportation vehicles like cars are one of the sources of Air Pollution. It needs to be prevented. It's a problem.
- Yah. So, do you know what is in these vehicles to make them pollute the air?
- Yes. Carbon Monoxide is often found in these vehicles. I think that Air Pollution- most people don't know all that much about. It is an existing problem. I do not think it's a myth. We should all do something about it. I will volunteer whenever I get the opportunity and I will plant a bunch of trees to aid the environment and the air.
- That is true. Okay, well did you know that nearly 7 million die each year because of Air Pollution?
- No, I did not. It's astounding...strange. I didn't expect the number to be that high, to be honest. That is so sad.

- So I gathered a lot from the interview. My mom knew that Air Pollution wasn't a good thing. She was aware that it hurts our health and environment, but she clearly did not know enough. She wasn't confident half of the time, and she paused to think about the questions a lot. I also visited the EPA as part of this video. I attended a presentation and gathered some cool information.

- Measures to prevent Air Pollution have been taken over the years. Measures like The Clean Air Act of 1970 in the United States, the Montreal Protocol and other International agreements. This graph shows how the regulations set by the CAA caused vehicle manufacturers to improve their product and make it more environment-conscious. As the number of miles traveled increases over the years, the amount of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions decreases.
- I enjoyed myself at the EPA. I met others like me interested in the environment. With me at the presentation were a group of kids from a summer program. Anyway, I got to look at the type of tools the workers at EPA use- like the Mercury detector, the Radon readers, etc. They were all super cool.
- So I conclude this video with the same goal- that you, the audience, want to care about air. My last attempt at convincing you in this video is a question- Why are you so selfish? Why can't you give back to the air that is constantly providing to you? Why do you want to be so careless, even after knowing that polluted air will only come back to haunt you? Why?
