- As Katniss enters to the Cornucopia, a small table with backpacks for each District left are set. Katniss quickly tries to run to get one, hopefully containing the medicine for Peeta, but she gets stopped by Clove, who puts a knife on her and slits her forehead open. Luckily, Thresh takes her and smashes her skull into the rocks, but lets Katniss survive because of how she cared for Rue.
- Katniss and Peeta are wandering around the woods, hoping to spot Cato and end the Hunger Games, when they see him sprint out of the woods. There are mutated wolves behind him, running after. They follow him up to the cornucopia, he suddenly falls down! The mutations keep fighting, when Katniss realizes their collars have numbers on them. They are the versions of the dead tributes! Cato is chased by them for hours. When finally, the cannon goes off.
- After Cato dies, Katniss and Peeta walk around for a while, expecting to win. But, an announcement rings out, saying that the statement has been retracted, and only one could win. Katniss, not wanting to kill Peeta, realizes that if they both eat the berries that killed Fox Face, there will be no winner. Suddenly, after they eat them, the announcer says they had both won. Katniss had tricked the Capitol.
