  • This is a story about an organization named... Foundation
  • Online Donors
  • Build more experiences
  • Online Giving History
  • “I know”, the lightbulb lit up, “I’ll start with what I have already and develop a solid experience for my online friends.” Foundation knew this wouldn't reach all of its friends but this was a great start. Foundation couldn’t believe how creating a simple experience, even a small one, could make its friends so happy.

  • Because of this work, Foundation wanted to try even more. It HAD to reach more friends. So it took a risk and invested in a team of people who could build a platform that not only created the simple experience but become a place where its friends could do even more – try new ways to engage, educational opportunities and enjoy a deeper understanding about their impact. To Foundation’s surprise, these friends saw the possibilities that it had to offer and saw just how much Foundation cared about them.
  • Once upon a time, there was a young organization named Foundation. Foundation was an ambitious, highly capable organization. It was always thinking about its future and ways to grow. But the road to get there wasn’t always clear. So it turned to its friend, University, for inspiration. You see, University took risks, embraced innovation, and collaborated at all levels. That was the future Foundation saw for itself.

  • Fancy Website
  • ONE PORTAL
  • High Tech Database
  • Foundation realized it had a decent start – it’s tried a few things like upgrading to a fancy website, converting to high tech databases, and creating different portals for some of its friends. The problem was that these efforts were independent of each other, with nothing to link them. Foundation knew it had a challenge ahead of itself…to do something big, that could join all these efforts (and more) into a meaningful experience for all its friends. And Foundation had MANY friends!
  • Because of this risk, something started happening that Foundation hadn't seen before - communities blossomed, new ways to personalize experiences developed, new ways to interact between friends of all backgrounds. This was all possible because of Foundation's ambitions and desire to for one connected experience. And because of that, a culture of innovation was born.
  • And they all CONNECTED happily ever after... in ONE PORTAL
  • What are YOUR needs? How can I meet them?
  • THE END
  • So Foundation decided to ask a few friends for advice, “Athletic Andy, Social Stacey and Parental Paul & Patricia, What are your needs? How can I meet them?” Foundation thought it would be a simple answer. Athletic Andy had one opinion, Social Stacey needed something different, and Parental Paul & Patricia had an entirely different set of expectations. Foundation was even more confused. “What can I build that creates a unique experience for each friend and something no one has seen before?”
