Storyboard Text
- 'I need your help. -Fellow Star Child'
- We're 'star kids.' We aren't totally human.
- Hi, Raya!
- Hey, Dan!
- Hey, Raya! Wanna go to the dance?
- Daniel, an eighth grade outcast, has an older brother, little sister, and a best friend named Max. Daniel plays football, a sport he dislikes. Most of the time, he just hangs out on the sidelines, fixing the team drinks. Daniel wonders why he has 'zaps', which are urges he has to do things like flick a light switch on and off.
- One day, Daniel gets a mysterious note from someone called Fellow Star Child.

- THE LAST KID ON EARTH!
- Daniel finds out that 'fellow star child' is a girl named Sara from school. Sara hardly talks to anyone but Daniel. She tells him that they are 'star children' and that they are special. She asks Daniel to help her investigate her dad's disappearance. He agrees.

- While all this is happening, Daniel is trying to impress his crush, a girl named Raya. Daniel thinks Raya might like him too, but he can't tell. Unfortunately, Taj asks her to the school dance before he can.
- Uh, Sara, I kinda found this.
- However, nighttime is the hardest time of day for Daniel. He has a 'Routine' that he feels he most follow every night before he can sleep. The 'Routine' makes Daniel feel helpless and alone.

- The only thing that really makes Daniel feel better is working on his novel 'The Last Kid on Earth'.
- OCD
- Daniel and Max go to the school dance. At first it starts out fun. But then Daniel sees what a good time Raya is having with Taj. Feeling hurt, Daniel leaves early. He even flicks the light switch on-and-off because of a 'zap,' embarrassing himself.
- Sara thinks that her mom's boy friend killed her dad. John's (her moms boy friend) handwriting and the handwriting in the letter her 'dad' wrote to her is the same. Sara and Dan break into John's house and find a hand gun.
- Daniel helps his team win football games, and soon they are going to the State Championship. Daniel is nervous about this. He gets invited to Rayas party and they kiss during 'spin the bottle.' Then Rayas dad gets mad.
- DAD!
- Sara gives Daniel a book on OCD to read. Daniel realizes that is what he has, yet he still feels alone. Meanwhile, Daniel helps his team win the State Football Championship.
- Sara and Dan find out that John didn't really KILL her dad: But that he and her mom suggested he spent some time alone- and he killed himself.
- Daniel realizes how much is family and friends mean to him- and that he can tell them about his OCD whenever he wants. THE END
