  • Israel is a Parliamentary democracy government citizens choose their leaders by choosing the legislator and then the legislator chooses the prime minister. This is different from a presidential democracy because citizens vote straight for the leader in a presidential democracy. Citizen participation is important in the government because it ensures power stays in the citizens hands.

  • Saudi Arabia has a Autocratic Monarchy. In an autocratic Monarchy, citizens have little to no say in voting for laws or leaders. While in a democracy citizens shape the government through voting. The single hereditary monarch such as a king, queen, or emperor have the power to make decisions in an Autocratic Monarchy. Citizens contribute to an Autocratic Monarchy with tax contributions, economic labor and function as subjects with obedience. In a Democracy citizens contribute with voting, paying taxes, obeying laws, serve on juries, and defend the nation.
