- Second Amendment
- I am scared of the governments power.
- Same, I hope they don't do what the British did and, abuse their citizen
- With the second amendment we can protect ourselves if that happens.
- Third Amendment
- No, The third amendment states that I do not have to let soldiers in my home.
- Let me in I am a soldier. I am hungry and need a place to stay
- First Amendment
- The taxes are outrages? They are 30% they should be 20%!
- How dare you insult this country and the taxes. I am going to arrest you.
- You are not allowed to arrest him over what he says. The first amendment prevents that.
- The first amendment is important because the colonists were scared of the government overpowering them. This amendment lets them protect themselves from the government abusing their powers because now they can bear arms.
- Fourth Amendment
- Do you have a police warrant signed by judge?
- Someone in this neighborhood stole a diamond. I need to search your house to make sure it is not you.
- The third amendment was made because of the quartering act by the British. This is important because it prevents soldiers during war to come into your house, invade your privacy, and take your belongings.
- Eighth Amendment
- The bail is 5,000 dollars for the offence you committed.
- I only stole a pair of gloves from CVS because I was cold and had no money at the time.
- The first amendment is important because it lets people have the freedom of speech, religion, freedom of the press, and other very important things. This lets people express their opinions about the government and they can practice their religion.
- Sixth Amendment
- Today is your lucky day. The sixth amendment makes it so your trial will be speedy. Read the newspaper.
- Johnny I have been in here for a year and I have not yet had a trial.
- The fourth amendment is significant because it protects you from the government going into your house and invading your privacy without a warrant.
- It does not matter if you are a police officer. The fourth amendment protects me if you don't have a warrant.
- No but I am a police officer.
- The eighth amendment is key because it prevents judges from abusing their power and making a bail too high so that the defendant can't pay it. Also, bail is set before trial and is a responsibility, not big punishment.
- The eighth amendment prevents excessive bail. My client's bail is outrages. He only stole a pair of gloves.
- The sixth amendment is significant because it makes sure that people cannot be held in jail for a long time without a trial. This makes sure people's time won't be wasted especially if you are innocent.
- 6th amendment lets people get speedy trial!
- I can finally prove I am innocent because I will be on trial.
