- Middle line managers (left) are sandwiched between high-level executives and first-level managers. Therefore, they have to connect with both (right). Putting them at a communication-centered role. They also use the most stable and generalized skillset, as they are not skewed towards technical, conceptual, or human-relations, but a mixture of all.
