Today I will show you three general types of symbiosis.
There are many different types of symbiosis. Please allow me to show you some!
The first type is mutualism.Mutualism issymbiosis that is beneficial to both organisms involved.
One example of mutualism is when ants feed on nectar from acacia trees! Both Organisms in this casebenefit
The next type is commensalism. This isan association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other derives neither benefit nor harm.
A perfect example of this would be monarch butterflies and milkweed. The butterfly takes the nectar while nothing is done to the milkweed.
The last example I will give is parasitism. This is when an organism hosts another organism for their own benefit while also harming the organism they are hosting
A very simple example of this would be fleas. Fleas host on dogs and other animals and feed off their blood. This benefits the flea, but harms the dog or animal. Sometimes causing infection or illness.
Sadly, that is all the time I have. The world needs me. They need Symbioman!!
