There's always a sense of calm when I see her sitting quietly. But at the same time, I notice how slowly she moves now, how much more tired she seems. It reminds me how time has changed so much yet her presence still feels like home.

Probably her braiding my hair… I felt so calm, like nothing could go wrong. She’d tell me funny stories while doing it too.
Whats your favorite memory with her?

As a child, I only saw her as a mother, someone who would take care ofeverything. Now I see her as a woman who has gone through so much, physically and emotionally. I feel more respect, but also more concern.
