- Don't Call Me After Midnight stands for distribute, combine like terms, move variables to the same side, add and/or subtract, and multiply and/or divide. This is also known as the inverse operations.

- Hello class today we are going to be talking about Don't Call ME After Midnight. We will use the problem above for this lesson.
- 8x-24x+ 16=-6-5xThis is our equation after going through the first step.
- The first step is to distribute what is outside of the parenthesis to the values within them. When doing this yoiu will need to make sure that you distribute to all values within the parenthesis.
- The second step is to combine like terms on eaither side. you will combine like varables and constants. This after math of this step implemented onto our equation will be shown below.
- -16x+16=-6-5x
- -11+16=-6
- Shown above is the third step, which is to move all variables to one side and combine them. This will be done with addition or subtraction, and which side you move the variables to doesn't matter.
- -11x=-22we subtracted 16 from each side
- The fourth step is to add or subtract. You need to isolate your variable and the first step to doing that is using the inverse operation. this will cancel out the value from one side and move it to the other side.
- Our second to last step is to multiply or divide. This is hw we will get rid of the coifficent attached to the variable. After this we need to plug in our answer to the equation and check to make sure that we were correct. Thus we should never get the wrong answer.
