- "Feel right aroun' there an' see how soft it is"
- "Don't you muss it up"
- "Oh! That's nice""Oh, that's nice"
- "Look out, now, you'll muss it""You stop it now, you'll mess it all up"
- "Let go, You let go!"
- "Please don't. Oh please don't do that. George'll be mad."
- AHHHHH!!!
- Curley's wife is letting Lennie feel her soft hair since she knows Lennie loves touching soft things

- "Oh! Please don't do none of that, George gonna say I done a bad thing. He ain't gonna let me tend no rabbits."
- At this point, Lennie starts to stroke her hair harder which starts to upset Curley's wife and tells him to stop.
- " Now don't, I don't want you to yell. You gonna get me in trouble jus' like George says you will. Now don't you do that."
- AHHH!
- Curley's wife starts screaming which freaks Lennie out so he decides to cover her mouth to prevent others from hearing.

- Lennie began to cry with fright, worried that George will find out and say Lennie did a "bad thing" resulting in Lennie not being able to tend the rabits.
- Lennie accidentally moves his hand, allowing another one of Curley's wife's scream out. As Curley's wife continued to struggle, and her eyes were wild with terror, Lennie starts shaking her from anger.
- Lennie shook her so hard that her body flopped like a fish. Then she went still because Lennie had broken her neck, and just like that, she was dead.
