AHHHHH!!!! Why is he red...this isn't the brother I wanted
Touching the Coffin
Here liesWilliam Armstrong
NOOOO....Don't leave me please don't leave me
If you don't touch your coffin I'm leaving you here
Doodle Dies
Come back Doodle please...Don't leave me
William Armstrong (Doodle) was born and to his brother he was a disappointment. He was red and shriveled with a big head and a tiny body. Everyone thought he would die so they built him a coffin, but Aunt Nicey knew he would live, and he did.
I have to bring Doodle with me everywhere. He can't walk, he can only crawl backwards so I pull him around in this go-cart that Daddy built. I told him about his coffin and that if he didn't touch it I was going to leave him there. Let's just say he didn't get left.
I began to run because Doodle was so close to me he started stepping on my heels. The thunder stopped, and just before the rain could fall Doodle had fell calling out to me to not leave him, but I still left him. I was bitter about our plans failing. I started running but became tired...I waited for Doodle and he never came. I went back to find him huddled under a tree dead.
