- This quotes reflect the utter devotion into Desdemona from Othello. Even with the racial barrier of him being a moor, and her a Venetian. Due to this difference, their relationship was scorned by the public. Showing the discrimination of cultures, and the tension.
- The topic of the split in ideologies, connects to the discrimination between cultures/peoples even back in Shakespeare's time. For example with the differences in the use of “science”, or for society to work together to fight a common issue, whether it be a war, internal problems, or even external such as the pandemic of CO-VID 19.
- In modern times we are dealing with a political divide. This divide started with the split in ideologies and with political parties. Along with other issues such as police injustice, and or racial injustice. These types of issues are not new, and they have been around long since Othello's time.
