- Hi! I'm Clarisse!
- Why did Montag chose to become a fireman? Does he like his job?
- Laughter fills the air. They are talking about the past.

- When Clarisse met Montag I can tell she is a very nice person and talkative unlike the other people in the society they live in.
- Its a beautiful day today!! What wonders can i find today? Ooo a flower!
- After Clarisse met Montag she is wondering why he had became a fireman. She doesnt think he chose his job because of how nice Montag is unlike the other firemen she met.
- Why are books not allowed?
- Clarisse is different from the people her age. Instead of fighting and going out doing bad things, she stays at home talking with her family about the past as well as other subjects.
- You're not like the others. When I talk, you look at me. When I said something about the moon, you looked at the moon, last night. The others would never do that.
- Clarisse spends her time pondering her surroundings and questioning it and the society she finds herself in. She is still curious unlike the others who rely on technology.
- I think that it is the people, not the state, who are to blame for the burning and banning of books.
- Clarisse gets Montag to think more about the world he lives in. Her questioning makes Montag start thinking about his own life and his place in society.
