  • After explecting an Indian attack, the soldiers and their families went to stay in the home of Colonel Andrew Donnally. At night the Indians attacked, trying to push down the door to get inside the fort.
  • On September 10, 1782, 40 British soldiers and 238 Indians attacked Fort Henry lead by Captain Andrew Bradt. A girl named Elizabeth "Betty" Zane, sacrificed herself to retrieve the needed gunpowder supply.
  • In 1782, peace negotiations with Great Britain began, and the Treaty of Paris was signed in 1783. The treaty was the official ending of the American Revolution. They agreed Britain would forfeit their Forts in the west, and the newly formed United States of America would repay their debts to Britain.
