- Athena and Arachne weaved fabulously. Arachne portrayed the cruelty and the gods abusing their power. While Athena's work depicted the power of the gods.
- Of coure, I'm the best weaver amongst mortals or even gods themselves!
- You're so good at weaving Arachne!
- What is that woman talking about!
- Both of their works were magnificent , but Arachne's tapestry is the one that stood out. When Athena looked at Arachne's better and superior work, she became furious and did something terrible to Arachne. Her arms suddenly stuck to her sides and black hair hair sprouted all over her body. The goddessleft a single spool of thread from her belly, a little reminder of her human talent
- Athena heard what Arachne said and transformed into an old woman to confront Arachne
- Why would I take back what I said? Its true that I'm better than the gods
- Young lady, you should take back what you said against the gods or they might punish you
- Athena grew 8 legs, 8 eyes and a spool of thread from her belly. Athena had shrunk her adversary into the first spider
- Athena became angry and morphed back to her original self and challenged Arachne. The sudden appearance of Athena shocked Arachne and decided to accept the challenge.
