- This is the story of a girl called Rapunzel. Rapunzel was born into a very poor family. Her father and mother could barely afford to raise her well. They had to make a heart-breaking decision to put her up for adoption.

- Rapunzel grew up in a small apartment in a bustling city. She was happy, but she really wanted to go to school.

- One afternoon, Rapunzel's mother sat her down and told her the news she had been waiting to hear for a long time.

- Rapunzel arrived at her new school, she was anxious and worried. The school felt so big to her.
- Rapunzel felt lost. She didn't know anyone and she didn't know where she was meant to go. Everyone was so chatty and loud, Rapunzel just wanted to leave.
- At lunch, a kind looking girl turned up and decides to sit with Rapunzel. They talk and they discover that they have a lot in common.
